| Skinny Minny Bike | |
| It is bright yellow with green lettering, it is fast, unique and "skinny": Tony Sheridan's Skinny Minny bicycle! As a teenager in East Anglia, Tony was already riding his beloved bike umpteen miles at a go throughout his home county of Norfolk - his own personal expression of freedom before music carried him away completely when he started his professional life as a live performing musician based in Soho, London... But the fascination of bicycles never quite left him and so he fulfilled a deep longing by getting his own handcrafted customized Tony Sheridan bike, made-to-measure personally for Tony! The bike is coloured in yellow and green, the colours of his family coat of arms, nostalgically equipped with features from the 50's including a Brooks B17 leather saddle and racing handle bars - and it is actually called "Skinny Minny" (the name appeares an the bike's frame)!! Take a look at some photos in our picture gallery... | |

| Monterrey, Mexico | |
| It may sound unbelievable (to Tony especially!) that it is now 50 years since he began to perform professionally. During this time music has taken him to numerous corners of the globe. The most recent destination, at the end of September, was Monterrey in Mexico where he followed an invitation to attend the first official Beatles Convention in that city of five millions. After the long and strenuous journey via Newark and Houston we were warmly welcomed by our Mexican friends. On stage Tony was ably accompanied by a local Mexican band named "Yellow Sub" who did their very best to follow Tony's somewhat original interpretations! The audience reacted most positively and enthusiastically to Tony's renditions or Rock'n'Roll and Rhythm'n'Blues songs. The Mexican fans were altogether tremendously warmhearted and sympathetic. For us northern Europeans Mexico presented a completely different world of sights, smells and sounds. At the table, our friends graciously forgave us for not being able to enjoy the ant's eggs in oil which seem to be a delicacy over there! Unbelievably, our friends had gone to great lengths to procure some cold Guinness!! Wonders never cease... Our warmest heartfelt thanks go to Humberto, Laura, Victor, Ricardo, and Frank from Texas, as well as the members of our Monterrey band "Yellow Sub", who did such a great job in accompanying Tony on stage! | |
| Beatles Week Liverpool 2006 | |
| If you ever were in Liverpool during the Beatles Week - you definitely will never forget the Beatles-related total craziness, due mostly to the quite extraordinary conglomeration of accents, visual impacts and overfull pubs spilling their many-nationed guests into the streets! The Tony Sheridan Trio was once again the attraction of this year's Beatles Week on Merseyside. At the sold out Empire Theatre he performed a magnificent show, sharing the bill with the Quarrymen and Donovan. Tony Sheridan was no stranger to the Empire's stage - back in 1959 he accompanied Conway Twitty on lead guitar, and in 1960 he performed there with Eddie Cochran and Gene Vincent on Eddie's last tour. Beatles fans are always impressed by Liverpool's Beatles Week - but this year's stay in Merseyside Tony and I also won't forget, for sure: thanks to the midnight fire and the following evacuation of the entire Adelphi hotel! We would like to thank all our numerous fans and friends from all over the world, whom we have had the pleasure of meeting while performing on Merseyside. Hope to see you all again next time in Liverpool, perhaps at the special 2008 event - for sure we'll see a few familiar faces at the pub on the corner enjoying a pint of Guinness! | |
